Your healthy, vibrant body is waiting – Make Food Your Friend
Your diet may either give you a healthy, vibrant body or sickness, depending on what you eat. A healthy diet is necessary for good health.
Eating good nutrition can be divided into four categories: water, carbohydrates, protein, and fat.
Water
Water is an important nutrient that delivers nutrients and waste products into and out of cells. We require at least 8 to 10 glasses of filtered water daily.
Carbohydrates
Carbohydrates provide the body with energy. Plants provide the best carbohydrate sources, including fruit, vegetables, legumes (peas, beans), and milk and milk products. Children need to consume more dairy products as they grow because of their acid-form propensity. Adults should avoid consuming too many dairy products since they are acid-forming. To learn more about acid-forming foods and how they may affect our health.
Protein
It is necessary for growth and development, supplies energy, manufactures hormones, antibodies, enzymes, and tissue, and maintains the correct acid-alkaline balance in the body. Protein can be found in meat, fish, poultry, eggs, hemp hearts, grains, legumes, leafy greens, beans, brown rice, some nuts, milk, and dairy products.
Fats
Human needs fat to sustain normal brain development. All humans need fat to fuel their bodies. Instead of carbohydrates, fat is the most concentrated source of energy. We obtain fat from animals and oils, including olive oil, coconut oil, hemp oil, vegetable shortening, and so forth. Fats play a significant role in our individuals’ health. Individuals should investigate the advantages and disadvantages of good versus bad fats in order to maintain optimum health.
It’s important for each person to find an eating plan that suits their body and lifestyle.
It is now recommended that at least eight to ten servings of fruits and vegetables a day should be consumed. The Canadian Cancer Society suggests that most of these should be raw. You already know what foods are necessary for maintaining a healthy body.
